Switching Between Daily and As Needed Use of CIALIS (tadalafil)

No clinical studies have been conducted to evaluate switching between daily and as needed therapies.

We cannot recommend any strategies for alternating these therapies, but can provide the following information:

  • CIALIS for use as needed (5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg) is approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), and may be taken up to once per day in most patients.

  • CIALIS for once daily use (2.5 mg and 5 mg) is approved for the treatment of ED, and should be taken at approximately the same time daily, without regard to timing of sexual activity.

  • CIALIS for once daily use (5 mg) is approved for the treatment of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or for the treatment of ED and signs and symptoms of BPH and should be taken at approximately the same time daily.

It is important to remember that CIALIS (regardless of therapy schedule) should not be taken more than once per day.
