Do not perform dose conversion when transitioning to the generic
IL-100 3-mL Pen from Humalog 3-mL Pen
IL-100 10-mL vial from Humalog 10-mL vial, or
IL-100 3-mL Junior Pen from Humalog 3-mL Junior Pen.
For example, if a patient is transitioning from 20 units of Humalog, the patient would administer 20 units of generic IL-100.
Generic versions are identical to branded versions in terms of
active ingredients
inactive ingredients
manufacturing, and
3-mL Pen or 10-mL vial packaging.
Generic versions have unique NDC numbers, labels, and package inserts.
