CIALIS® (tadalafil): Using Multiple Tablets to Simulate Larger Doses

Combining tablets would give the additive dosage of the individual tablets.



Dosing

Tadalafil is available as film-coated tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains 2.5, 5, 10, or 20 mg of tadalafil. Combining tablets would give the additive dosage of the individual tablets.1  

It is important to remember that tadalafil, regardless of therapy schedule, should not be taken more than once per day.1

Erectile Dysfunction

On-Demand Dosing

The recommended maximum dose is 20 mg, taken prior to anticipated sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day.2 Tadalafil has been proven effective as early as 16 minutes after dosing and up to 36 hours after dosing.1

Once-a-Day Dosing

The recommended dose is 5 mg, taken once a day at approximately the same time of day.2

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

The recommended dose is 5 mg, taken at approximately the same time every day.2

Erectile Dysfunction and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

The recommended dose is 5 mg, taken at approximately the same time every day.2
