Can Baqsimi™ (glucagon) nasal powder cause hypersensitivity and allergic reactions?

Hypersensitivity and allergic reactions have been reported with glucagon. Baqsimi (glucagon) nasal powder is contraindicated in patients with a prior hypersensitivity reaction to glucagon.

Warnings and Precautions Regarding Hypersensitivity and Allergic Reactions

Baqsimi is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to glucagon or to any of the excipients in Baqsimi.1

Allergic reactions have been reported with glucagon, these include generalized rash and in some cases anaphylactic shock with breathing difficulties and hypotension.1

Baqsimi is contraindicated in patients with a prior hypersensitivity reaction.1
